IMBooster General Info
A few things about IMBooster
IMBooster is free additional software for Messenger, which allows you
to send cool stuff such as Emoticons, BigEmos
and Video Winks to your entire list of contacts. Since June 2008, IMBooster contains a new feature called Make your Emoticons which allows you to create your own personalized Emoticons.
The Emoticons service includes exclusive emoticons created especially for all IMBooster users, for free, but also personalized content created with the help of the Make your Emoticons feature. BigEmos are just like the former, only 5 times wider. As for Video Winks, they are an upgraded video version of Messenger's default Winks that can be created by users from webcam or by editing favourite clips or videos.

System Requirements
Here's the minimum of what you should have on your machine in order to have
a fully-operating IMBooster:
Microsoft Windows XP / Vista
Service Pack 2
512 RAM
Flash Player 9.0
.NET Framework 2.0 (optional, as it is installed by IMBooster in case you don't already have it)
K-Lite Codec
Pack Basic 3.8.0 (optional, as it is required only for some operating systems and only for Video Winks creation)
*Please remove all other codecs before installing K-lite CodecPack. Otherwise it might result as audio/video codecs conflicts and stop working. Also, if you're trying to upload a .mov, check if you have QuickTime installed on your system.
How to install
First of all, you need to download the IMBooster Setup File here:
http://www.iminent.com/Addon.aspx.
The download may take a while, depending on your Internet Connection.
Then close all programs, hit Run! and follow the instructions
given to you by the Installation Wizard.
New to IMBooster?
If you have never used IMBooster before, here is what you have to do to
get yourself started:
1. Sign in to your Messenger.
2. Run IMBooster (you will not see it running anywhere, so go directly to
step 3).
3. Open a conversation and start chatting.
IMBooster will attach itself to your conversation in the form of a vertical
bar. The icons on the bar are IMBooster's services. Check the following
sections for more information on how to use any of the Emoticons,
BigEmos, VideoWinks
or FireNudge sections.
The Options Menu
You have several possibilities of adjusting IMBooster to your needs, from the Options Menu: you can sign in to your account, invite your buddies to use IMBooster, read the IM News!, configure it to launch at startup or not, to take you to the Help section for more information, to find out the IMBooster version or even to expand/retract it.
Create an account
If you want to create an account click the options button in the add-on, then Identification and Create, or go here: http://www.iminent.com/register.aspx.
Here's what you have to do in order to create an IMBooster account:
(1) Choose a Login and a password. Please
take care, as the password needs to be inserted twice and must match in
both cases. A valid e-mail address (preferably the same that you are going
to use with your Messenger) is needed in order to activate your account.
After inserting your desired credentials, click Submit.
(2) If all of the above have been met you
will be informed that your account has been successfully created. However,
we need to check if the e-mail address is valid and we will send an activation
link.. If you don't receive the activation e-mail, check your spam box
or ask for it again by filling the field on that same page with your valid
e-mail address.
How to uninstall
IMBooster can be easily removed from your Control Panel. Just go to your
Control Panel, access Add/Remove Programs, scroll for the IMBooster Application
and then select Uninstall. The Uninstall Wizard will guide you through the
steps.
If you encounter errors, exit all programs and reboot. If that doesn't

What are Emoticons?
The Emoticons service includes exclusive emoticons created especially for all IMBooster users for free, but also personalized content created with the help of the Make your Emoticons feature. You can send emoticons by simple drag & drop from the IMBooster bar into your IM conversation window or by clicking it down once. (Can't find the IMBooster bar? Check the New to IMBooster section for more info). Don't forget to click the plus sign for more options such as sending it, viewing the entire content package or browsing similar content.

Make your Emoticons
With the Make your Emoticons service you can now start creating your own personalized Emoticons. The service allows you to create Emoticons with just your webcam or directly from an image on your computer. With Make your Emoticons we’ve
extended the possibility of creating and sending Emoticons the same way
you do with Video Winks (Check the Video Winks section for more info). Finally, users are free to create original
content which they can send via IM sessions with their chat partners.
The service is divided into two main activities: Make your Emoticons from Webcam and Make your Emoticons from image. The first activity requires a previously installed webcam on your system whereas the latter supports the following images: JPG, PNG, animated GIF. Check the following tutorials for a better comprehension of how the service works.
Make your Emoticons from Webcam Tutorial
1. Click the Make your Emoticons from your webcam.
2. Choose your webcam source. If your webcam is correctly
installed, then you will be able to localize it in the drop down menu.
You should see yourself in the box above the drop down menu.
3. Click the Record button. The countdown will start so you can take a few seconds to prepare yourself. When the countdown
is over, the recording session has started, so act as funny as you can!
4. Click the Stop button. The wizard will now be processing
the recorded images of your Emoticon.
5. Validate the Emoticon. Once the wizard has stopped
processing, you will se a preview of your Emoticon. If you like it, validate
it. If not, click the red x and go back to the beginning.
6. Find it in the Emoticon tab in My Stuff.
Make your Emoticons from Image Tutorial
1. Click the Make an Emoticon from an image.
2. Choose the image on the disk you want to emoticonize.
3. On the right side, adjust the portion of the image you want to emoticonize using zoom in and zoom out and the mouse to move and
crop the portion.
4. Validate the creation by clicking the emoticonize
button.
5. That’s it! You will now find it in your My Stuff tab in the Emoticon section of your IMBooster.
Keep yourself organized!
If you find content that you like and want to have in hand, you have the possibility of organizing your content! You will need to have an account for this, but
in the Emoticons section you will
find 3 tabs:
(1) is for browsing the Top Emoticons.
(2) is My Stuff (contains own creations and favourites).
(3) is for History and for browsing categorized emoticons.
Another way of adding to your favourites is the drag & drop function that you can use to drag the content from one tab directly to the My Stuff tab. Easy and fast.

What are BigEmos?
BigEmos are an upgraded version of Emoticons. They are 5 times wider and their purpose is to attract attention better than normal Emoticons do. The usage of BigEmos is the same: just drag & drop a BigEmo from the IMBooster bar into any of your conversations with your buddies or click it down once. (Can't find the IMBooster bar? Check the New to IMBooster section for more details). Don't forget to click the plus sign for more options such as sending it, viewing the entire content package or browsing similar content.
Your Messenger only allows you to use 50x50 Emoticons. BigEmos are 5 times wider!
Keep yourself organized!

in the BigEmos section you will
find 3 tabs:
(1) is for browsing all BigEmos.
(2) is My Stuff (contains favourite BigEmos).

What are Video Winks?
Video Winks are an upgraded video version of Messenger's default Winks that can be created by users from webcam or by editing favourite clips or videos.
The content is divided into many sections for facilitated usage, as there is an extremely large number of Video Winks created by IMBooster users. Thus, you can find Top Video Winks or access the main Categories (Invitation, Friendship, Miscellaneous, Salutation / Goodbye, Moods, Flirt / Love, Joke, Insult). If you want to create a selection of your own you can easily add Video Winks to your Favourites, Create them from your webcam or from a short video or clip existing on your computer. You can send Video Winks by simple drag & drop from the IMBooster bar into your IM conversation window or by clicking it down once. (Can't find the IMBooster bar? Check the New to IMBooster section for more info). Don't forget to click the plus sign for more options such as sending it or browsing similar content.
Use Video Winks just the way you use winks with
your Messenger!
Create Video Winks
You can easily create a Video Wink by recording your webcam or by uploading a video you already have in your computer. You can find the Create a Video Wink button in the top of the Video Winks section of your IMBooster. Follow the instructions offered by the Creation Wizard and you will be able to send your creations to your chat partners in no time. (Check the System Requirements section for more info about Video Winks editing)

What are Mood Avatars?
“Mood Avatars” is the latest service from IMBooster
which comes with complete sets of avatar expressions for your Messenger.
Mood Avatars is for users who identify themselves with or who like our
cartoon characters developed for the Emoticons service (e.g.: Panda Dada,
Pitoo, Monkey Kong, Chiko, etc.) and would like to use them as avatars.
The sets come with animations for different moods such as laughter, sadness,
nudge, anger and others.
The service can be accessed by clicking the avatar icon in the IMBooster
blue bar. Placing your mouse over any of the avatars will show you all
6 moods: default, nudge, tongue, cry, wink and laughter.
Don’t forget to click the plus sign for more options such as seeing
the entire pack of content created for the cartoon character you like
most: Emoticons, BigEmos, and Mood Avatars!

yourself organized
If you find avatars that you like and want to have in hand, you have the
possibility of organizing your favorites! In the Mood Avatars section
you will find 3 tabs:
(1) is for browsing the Mood Avatars.
(2) is My Stuff (contains favorite Mood Avatars).
(3) is for browsing through the History.
Another way of adding to your favorites is the drag & drop function
that you can use to drag the content from one tab directly to the My Stuff
tab. Easy and fast.
What is FireNudge?
FireNudge is a special feature available in your IMBooster, which allows you to send a set of 5 Nudges to any of your buddies, without delays. If your friends are not answering or if you want to simply drive them insane you can attract their attention by sending a FireNudge. FireNudge
can be found in the IMBooster menu (First icon, shaped as a lightning
bolt. Can't find the IMBooster bar? Check the New to IMBooster section for more info). Just click it and you will see the message “!!! FireNudge
!!!”: this is how you know your chat partner is now receiving a
storm of Nudges in his/her IM window.
Comments and ratings
When people check out your creations, they'll post comments and
ratings to it. You can also do that, once you have an account,
from the Preview Page of any Video Wink you watch or by clicking
Comment it, rate it from its right-click menu inside IMBooster. Check the Create an Account section for more information.
Be careful as to hit Send when you're done.
Please refrain from using inappropriate language and
report us such errors by hitting the Notify us link.
You will be asked to fill out a form which will be sent to us and dealt
with immediately.
